Guerrilla Games, known for “Killzone,” has prepared a brand new role-playing video game for you, called Horizon Zero Dawn, which has been described by some as their “most ambitious” and “most risky” project. Even though we need to wait for some time for this game to be released, we can now find a new video of “Horizon Zero Dawn” and see what the managing director Helmen Hurst and art director Jan-Bart Van Beek have to say about this challenging project.

According to them, this Guerrilla’s first title with an open world environment is a combination of RPG and action game. Its environment consists of five “ecotopes,” while the weather system is dynamic, with a full day and night cycle, and all of these features make the gameplay more realistic, and thus more interesting for the players.

“Horizon Zero Dawn” was announced in 2015, and it received the following nominations for Best of E3 Game Critics Awards: Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Original Game, Best of Show and Best Console Game. It eventually won the award for Best Original Game. After that, it has also been nominated for Most Anticipated Game.

Horizon Zero Dawn Characters

The main character of the upcoming game is Aloy, a hunter, and archer raised by a tribe, who lives in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by robots called “Machines.” She sets out to explore the environment populated by the robotic creatures, fighting them along the way and trying to discover all the deep secrets of the world which has undergone tremendous changes after the fall of the civilized world. There are various ways in which Aloy can fight the creatures she encounters, e.g. using arrows, setting traps, using explosives, and after that even looting those beasts’ corpses so as to find something useful.

The development process of “Horizon Zero Dawn” has been unfolding without any difficulties so far, and we surely hope it will remain at full speed until the very end.

The release date is set for March 1, 2017, and March 3, 2017, in the UK.
