My Hero Academia” is a Japanese superhero manga series both written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. Horikoshi claims he was inspired by Masashi Kishimoto’s “Naruto” when he started writing this manga, which has been nominated for the 8th Manga Taishō. Its serialization began in Weekly Shōnen Jump, a manga magazine, in July 2014.

“My Hero Academia” TV anime adaptation was announced in October 2015, while its first episode premiered on April 3, 2016, on MBS. The story revolves around Izuku Midoriya, a student who lives among people who have superpowers known as “Quirks” but he himself doesn’t, which is why he is bullied by his classmates. The anime is produced by Studio Bones, written by Yōsuke Kuroda and directed by Kenji Nagasaki. Yoshikiko Umakoshi was in charge of designing the characters, while Yuki Hayashi composed the music. Funimation Entertainment licensed the series in North America in March 2016.

The last episode of the first season was released in June 2016, and ever since then fans have been impatient to find out whether there will be Season 2. Much to their delight, it has recently been confirmed that the sequel will definitely be delivered.
