Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) Introduces Android 5.0 Lollipop for Nexus Devices

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) has launched the Android 5.0 Lollipop for the older Nexus devices. The customers who own Nexus 4, 5, 7 and 10 can get Lollipop on their devices soon. Due to the battery bugs, the launch of Lollipop was delayed for some time. The problem, however, is that Google is introducing a new platform in waves. There is no clarity as to how long Google will take for rollout of Android 5.0. As per the record, the previous rollouts were completed in time-period of three weeks.

The new version of Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop has all sorts of new features in the mix. It features a new guest user mode, has improved notifications features, possess a new app switcher and last but not the least has got immense battery life enhancements. It has got a new look which is termed as ‘material.

It can be better said as a visual treat for the customers. The layering, animations are kept simple but are given a shine of the bold palette all where. The notification interface is drop-down with transparency effects. It is well designed for the smaller screens. The new version looks good on both the small screen and phablet screen devices. It is a significant accomplishment for Google.

Coming to Nexus 6, Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop provides excellent design on the device. The notification feature has got excellent movement of expanding and then receding back. The notification space selectively displays individual content. It minimizes the notifications in a well-defined way so as to provide a clear overview of notifications at once.

The other feature is a long pull that will display additional quick settings. The users can see the factory images for all the Nexus models including Nexus 5, 7, 9 and 10. As of now, the images of Nexus 4 are not made available.
