Game of Thrones Season 7: New Trailer Review!

On Wednesday we received a real treat from HBO. The company decided to release a new trailer for their upcoming Game of Thrones Season 7! The trailer begins with Sansa’s walk in Winterfell, her home, and it also ends with her, however, this time she is delivering a speech, a powerful speech which reminded us of Rudyard Kipling’s law of the jungle.

Between those scenes, we had the opportunity to see a few conflicts in other parts of Westeros. All of which will have to be resolved in the upcoming season we hope. More than a few characters are involved, so that’s something to look forward to and last but not least, the soundtrack was awesome. All of it is followed by Ramin Djawadi’s ‘Light of the Seven’ which is his latest masterpiece specially created for the Season 6.

The previous trailer placed focus on three throne contenders, Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister, and Daenerys Targaryen, however, this one rather emphasized other characters which are also essential for the story. For example, in the beginning, Bran and Meera are waiting for one of the gates of the Wall to open. From that, we can deduce that Jon might be on the other side waiting.

Almost immediately after that, we see Cersei, Daenerys, Arya, Jaime and Littlefinger, before Jon Snow’s monologue: ‘For centuries, our families fought together against their common enemy. Despite their differences. Together,’ followed by Daenerys exploring her new home, and Tyrion looking at the three huge dragons. He then adds: ‘We need to do the same if we’re going to survive. ‘Cause the enemy is real. It’s always been real.’

Following Jon’s monologue, we can see tons of action which involve The Hound, Greyjoy’s armada, Beric Dondarrion with a flaming sword (cool, right?) the Unsullied, Jaime racing through an empty battlefield and Drogon, Danny’s beloved dragon watching over a Dothraki horde.

Game of Thrones is set to come back on July 16 on HBO whereas it will air on Hotstar a day later, July 17, and on Star World, July 18. Stay tuned people, this is what we’ve been waiting for!
