Samsung Galaxy S5 New Home Screen Pics Leaked Again

Images of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) Galaxy S5 is again on the web, and this time the leaked pictures show re-designed home screen for the new device. According to tipster @evleaks, who has many a times leaked true information and pictures, published the images of the alleged Galaxy S5 quoting it to be a new home screen.

Home screen similar to Windows

The new home screen is similar to the Microsoft’s Window Phone home screen and Google Now cards, but tiles are of the same size and arranged over one another.

There was another leaked picture from @evleaks, a few weeks ago, showing the home screen with a note saying that the company was “exploring [a] new smartphone UI.” This picture was also similar to the new one showing tile like home screen as well as more traditional Android screen.

Shortly after the leak, Executive vice president of the Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930), Lee Young Hee gave a statement to Bloomberg saying that the company is working towards releasing its Galaxy S5 in March or April, and that the device would be different from the Galaxy S4. Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3 were very much similar in design, but that is expected to change in Galaxy S5, according to Hee.

“Mostly, it’s about the display and the feel of the cover,” Lee told Bloomberg. Believing on what @evleaks has to say the home screen of Galaxy S5 it looks like an update to TouchWiz interface may also be on cards. Recently, the tipster published some of the exact shots of the LG WebOS TV and Lifeband activity prior to their launch at CES.

Other expected features of Galaxy S5

Other expected features of the Galaxy S5 are AMOLED display of 2,560×1,440 resolution and screen size of somewhere around 5.25 inches. The phone is supposed to be the first smart phone to use the Exynos 6 Snapdragon 805 processor, which could increase the speed of the phone manifolds. The Galaxy S5 could be powered with 64 bit mode, but according to different sites only metal version of the phone could afford to run this. Galaxy S5 is expected to be fitted with a 16MP rear camera and run on the KitKat version of the Android software.

EVP Hee said in a statement at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas that the company is looking forward to launch the next generation flagship phone between March and April.
