This post will tell you about a trend that is circling in the NFL, and it will deal with the possibility that Garrett might finish his Cowboys career at some point in time. How come? Well, the fact is that business these days tends to pull towards always growing expectations and similarly shrinking patience. This is backed up by the fact that there are many changes in some of the teams and those even include a new head coach to start a season, with six new coaches this season alone, in the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers, Denver, Buffalo, Jacksonville and San Francisco.

Six changes that happened this season alone is barely a half when compared to 2009 when there were 11, in the end, all those were eventually fired. Based on that we presume that this season will not be that different, at least in this regard. Some teams have already started making preparations for this while others have a little more patience and will wait to see what will happen during the five remaining games. As far as we know, at this moment, the coaching days are numbered for New York Giants coach Ben McAdoo, Chicago’s John Fox and Indianapolis’ Chuck Pagano, and there are some speculations about Arizona’s, two-time coach of the year, Bruce Arians will be retiring after the season ends. We also expect some changes to happen for the Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dallas and New York Jets.

There are some improvements this year as well, especially with the Rams’ Sean McVay who managed to turn a franchise that was 4-12 last year to the team with a 9-3 score, and lots more good to come. This, of course, puts McVay in a high position with other owners who will be looking for a replacement. It turns out that a hiring 31-year-old coach wasn’t such a bad idea everyone assumed before. Thanks to this, McVay is a coach-of-the-year candidate while the Chargers are surging under Anthony Lynn and will probably end up winning the AFC West. Doug Marrone’s Jaguars are 8-4 and are safe atop the AFC South, while Buffalo has been up and down under Sean McDermott. Sadly both the Broncos (under Vance Joseph) and 49ers (under Kyle Shanahan) are well behind expected.

As these things go, expect a lot of speculations ahead of us but also be aware that many of the names tossed around could be real while others will be a pure smokescreen. With this in mind, it is to be expected that every team will want some of that Eagles mojo since Philly is the best team so far. This only means that there might be another chance for defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz to become a head coach. Plus there is offensive coordinator Frank Reich and quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo who might be interesting to everyone. Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin also pulls towards the head coaching mix this offseason, as does Jacksonville defensive coordinator Todd Wash, and we all know that he will be the top pick because of his defense is ranked No. 1.

Below you will find the short list of teams that could change coaches this offseason, and it is compiled from most to least likely:
