The first installment of Frozen was released in 2013, and it quickly became the highest-grossing animated movie of all time. The sequel was rumored ever since, and now we finally have the official confirmation of its release date. Like it typically goes we went first in with good news, and those are that Frozen 2 is happening. The bad news is that we are going to wait for more than two years to see it. The release date for this film is set for November 27 of 2019!
The list on which Disney showed the date for Frozen 2 also had other movies. Most notable films on this list are Indiana Jones 5 ( yes it will feature Harrison Ford who will be 77 years old at the time of its release) coming on July 10, Star Wars Episode 9 releasing on May 24 and live action movie Lion King scheduled for July of 2019.
Other information regarding Frozen 2 have not been disclosed by the company but here’s what we know from before. Both directors are going to be back on this project. If you didn’t know, the first movie was directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. Voice actor for Ann and Elsa will also return. The leading roles were voiced by Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel.
The news from above is all great but the real problem to be solved is to find the right storyline and song matching it to be able to overshine the original movie Frozen. While you wait for this animated blockbuster, you can watch the live version of it on a stage in Denver where it will debut in August before the spring move (2018) on Broadway. Like it happens in many cases it will shortly after Broadway debut make its way to London.
Frozen 2 Release date
In the end, let’s remind you what really matters here. The animated movie Frozen 2 will debut in world cinemas on November 27 in 2019.
