There is no doubt that Tony Romo’s career is winding down and the end is near. Still, he is not that old right now, and he feels that he still has something left in the tank. The injuries have cost him his starting spot and a couple of seasons of his career. Some think that he should retire, while there is someone that wants him to hang up the cleats.

One of those that want that is the sports network “Fox Sports.” According to Adam Schefter, this TV Network is interested in bringing in Tony Romo as the NFL analyst. John Lynch was the analyst for this network, but the man just got a job of a General Manager for the San Francisco 49ers, and the company is looking to fill the void that he left. The guy that they are looking at is indeed Tony Romo.

All of this broke out along with the news of the Cowboys releasing Tony Romo. That news came as no surprise as they need to look to move him somehow. Then the news of a possible trade broke out as well, but it seems that it’s not going to be possible and that he will, in the end, be released by the team.

When that happens, it appears that Romo won’t consider a career as an analyst, at least not right now. He still wants to play, and he will be looking at some teams that need a quarterback. Right now, Houston and Denver come to mind, but there might be some other teams interested in him. For example, 49ers have stated that they are not done looking at the signal callers so they are another team that might be looking to add Romo. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens with him in the next couple of days.
