If you haven’t noticed already (depending where you are on the planet), winter is very slowly but surely creeping up on us. In that spirit, Microsoft decided to prepare a “snow mountain playground” for all of us Forza 3 enthusiasts. This will be packed up with the game’s upcoming Blizzard Mountain expansion expected to launch next month for Windows 10 and Xbox One.

Do not think that Microsoft decided just to put a snowy mountain, a few tracks and let you play around, the Blizzard Mountain DLC will also include a collection of new vehicles together with a new single player campaign that will offer multiple events and extreme weather challenges. To all that are not up to speed with Forza Horizon 3 that was released in September, this is the third sequel to Microsoft’s open-world racing sim franchise. It is slightly different than its companion series Forza Motorsport, where Horizon features an expansive map that players can explore whenever they want as they seek out new races and challenges throughout a pretty long campaign.

As I already mentioned, with the expansion pack players will be able to experience a new set of campaign challenges in Blizzard Mountain, logically in wintry terrain at extreme alpine heights. Microsoft stated that this DLC will host “more than 50 new events and challenges to compete in (…), including Hill Climb, Descent and Blizzard race events”. This is the first time that Forza Horizon 3 players will experience winter, snow, and blizzards which are going to add to the difficulty not seen in previous DLC releases. Those that prove to be the best and survive the Blizzard Mountain are going to be rewarded with a bounty of 28 new Xbox Live Achievements, for a total of 500 Gamerscore points.

I also stated that this new DLC would come with additional cars which will include:
High-horsepower 2016 Ford Gymkhana 9 Focus RS RX,
The bulky 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck,
The San Remo Valley favorite 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4,
1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B rally car,
Pro 2 Unlimited’s 2016 RJ Anderson No. 37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck,
The 2016 Subaru No. 199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car, and
Nissan’s prototype 2016 Titan Warrior Concept.

This is more than incredible list and features paired with it makes this DLC highly anticipated by the players and enthusiasts. The DLC will premiere on December 13th and will be available as a stand-alone download. All reports say it will come included as part of the Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass, which also grants access to an upcoming DLC pack similar to Blizzard Mountain in terms of scale and scope.
