The Ford Mustang is ready for a mid-cycle revision for the 2018MY. As far as we know, the front and rear bumpers will be redesigned, and Ford will also add a 10-speed automatic transmission as an option. In addition, the new range-topping car, that might even arrive as a 2017 MY, is being developed and it is expected to revive the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 moniker.

Although the new top trim will come soon, according to a leak that appeared in November, the production of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 will continue, and we will see the new 2018 model for sure. However, as Mustang6G wrote, the new Shelby GT350 would skip the mid-cycle revision, but the new colors would be available for the customers to choose from.

They also add that the standard Mustang will be similar to the Shelby GT350 and that this is the reason why the Shelby GT350 will actually avoid this mid-cycle changes. Rumor has it that the new version of the Ford Shelby GT350 will come out with a dual-clutch transmission, but this is highly unlikely.

Just like with previous year model we are getting GT350 with 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 powerplant that brings flat-plane crank. Even it will not see any power bumps we are more than satisfied with its 526 hp that are delivered to the rear wheels.

According to reports that we have gathered, colors that will be applied here are Kona Blue, Lead Foot Gray, and Orange Fury. Follow us for more details about the Ford Shelby GT350.
