We still don’t know who will be in the team of the group stage, but Lewandowski and Mertens are probably out of the picture. However, Higuain, Tevez, Alba, and Vardy could be on that team. For the week 13, we believe that the following players will make the cut.

Reserves

Before we start talking about the starting eleven, we will mention the reserves first.

Orestis Karnezis – Goalkeeper – 78 Overall

Several goalkeepers could enter the top team, but only one of them did, and it is not Orestis Karnezis. For now on, he is the reserve goalkeeper, and it was a battle between him and Ederson who played well for Benfica in their 2-1 win over the rivalry club, Sporting. Ederson made six saves, but the reason why Karnezis is in the reserve squad is because he made eight saves in the match between Udinese and Atlanta. Udinese managed to get the W and Karnezis earned an 8 out of 10.

Andreas Christensen – Centre-back – 78 Overall

Christians might be the one who can enter the team because he scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory for his club and the other players on this position didn’t quite step up. The matches in the Bundesliga ended with only several goals, so it was hard selecting a player for this spot.

Willian Jose – Striker – 78 Overall

William Jose made the reserves because he scored two goals – in the 2nd and 21st minute of the duel – in Sociedad’s 3-2 home win over Valencia. In addition, he was the man of the match with a 3* performance.

Llorente – Striker – 79 Overall

Swansea won their second game in the row at home, and they managed to beat Sunderland 3-0. Llorente influenced the match significantly, and he could be in the starting team.

Dwight Gayle – Striker – 73 Overall

Newcastle lost three consecutive games, but they snapped out of the losing streak by beating Birmingham. They scored four goals and Gayle hit the net three times, whereas he assisted to Gouffran for the another one, so it is obvious why he is on the list.

Substitutes

Stefan Frei – Goalkeeper – 69 Overall

Frei was fantastic as he made seven saves in a draw, but he made two additional saves in the shoot-out. He definitely deserved this spot of a substitute.

Leo Matos – Right-back – 72 Overall

The Greek division doesn’t get the attention it deserves, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if Matos was left out. He scored two goals for PAOK who ended the match with a 3-0 win.

Yoann Court – Left Midfielder – 68 Overall

Court helped GFC Ajaccio win with two goals and two assists. However, there were many left midfielders with a hat trick, but he deserved a spot on the side.

Piotr Wlazlo – Central Attacking Midfielder – 55 Overall

Wlazlo is a midfielder with a hat trick in Plock’s 4-3 victory after a comeback. That is why Wlazlo earned a 9/10 what is interesting that one of his goals was almost from field center.

Yasin Oztekin – Right Midfielder – 74 Overall

Oztekin was the man who scored all goals in Galatasaray’s 3-0 triumph. They are three points behind Başakşehir, and we should give credit to Oztekin.

Ola Toivonen – Striker – 74 Overall

Toulouse’s 3-2 difficult win over Lorient gave them three points and Toivonen was the one who hit the target three times. He deserved a spot in the team of the week.

Besart Berisha – Striker – 74 Overall
Melbourne’s strong performance against WSW will be remembered as they claimed a 3-0 victory. The Albanian striker Berisha scored all three goals for the winning team, and he should easily be a substitute.

Top Eleven

Stephane Ruffier – Goalkeeper – 85 Overall

Ruffier definitely deserved the spot of a starting goalkeeper because he had eight saves in Etienne’s 1-0 win.

Jordi Alba – Left-back – 86 Overall

Alba earned a 3* rating for Barcelona as they faced Osasuna and Jordi Alba finished the duel with two assists. Messi was the man of the match, which is not a surprise.

Iborra – Center-back – 82 Overall

Although it is weird that Iborra played at a centre-back position, he came off the bench and score all three goals in Sevilla’s victory over Celta Vigo.

Roger – Center-back – 76 Overall

Ingolstadt surprised everyone when they beat Leipzig. It was a tough match, and Roger scored the only goal so that he would end up in the starting eleven.

Stefano Okaka – Left Midfielder – 77 Overall

Okaka also played at the unusual position for him, but he managed to score twice for Watford in a 3-2 victory over Everton. Watford is having a great season, and they are currently at the 7th spot on the table.

Carlos Tevez – Central Attacking Midfielder – 83 Overall

Tevez was successful twice in the match for Boca’s 4-2 win against their rivals – River Plate. With this victory Boca moves to the top of the table.

Marcelo Brozovic – Centre Midfielder – 79 Overall

Inter managed to come up with the 2-0 win against Genoa and Brozovic earned a 7/10. He hit the net twice in that game, and he should be on the team.

Wilfried Zaha – Right Midfielder – 79 Overall

Crystal Palace is having a bad streak, and they lost six matches in a row, but they managed to hold Hull to a draw. Zaha scored one goal and assisted one, whereas after he was fouled, the team was awarded a penalty.

Jamie Vardy – Striker – 82 Overall

Leicester’s glorious victory over Manchester City shocked everyone. Their 4-2 win was unexpected, but what was even more surprising is that they took the early 3-0 lead, after just 20 minutes. Vardy scored three goals and thus ended his 16 game goal drought.

Falcao – Striker – 81 Overall

Falcao scored a hat-trick against Bordeaux, and he was the main guy for Monaco’s 4-0 triumph. He has been playing great lately, and he should be on the team.

Gonzalo Higuain – Striker – 88 Overall

Juventus recorded a win against Derby della Mole. Higuain, the Argentinian player, scored two goals out of the total three for Juventus.
