Fast and Furious franchise manages to be at a high level and even after so many years, the movies draw the attention of the audience. The eighth installment of the series called The Fate of the Furious premiered on April 14, and it received a massive box office success. We already know that Fast and Furious 9 is coming, so here are seven things we expect to see.

Toretto Being A Father

Dominic Toretto has a son, and this can influence the storyline in the next installment. It will be interesting to watch Dom (Vin Diesel) adjusting his life, and just the very realization of Brian Toretto’s existence can change the main character for the better. He is going to start questioning the life as an outlaw, which he got used to so much.

Justice for Han

The argument that the Fast and Furious fans have had after watching The Fate of the Furious concerns Deckard Shaw and his murder of Han. Shaw, a character played by Jason Statham, is becoming a large and important piece of the story, but this shift definitely shortchanged Han. His death needs to be acknowledged in the new Fast and Furious 9 and all of us should move on.

More Car Action

The Fast and Furious franchise became famous because of all the cars and all the chase we have had a chance to see in the movies so far. It feels that The Fate of the Furious is the least car-centric part in spite of the New York scene and this can earn the franchise a bad reputation. The series has moved along, and we are no longer watching street races, which is fine, but cars simply need to have one of the central roles. In the ninth installment, we just want more beastly cars and more races.

Team Dynamic Boost

In The Fate of the Furious we have seen the main character, Dom, turning his back on the family and consequently, their team dynamic dropped. The Fast and Furious is a franchise about vehicles, but it is also a franchise about family, so we expect a more ensemble-oriented nature in the next film. It is always heart-warming to watch each member of that family giving their contribution and doing everything in their power to help the group.

Redemption For Deckard Shaw

We are all sorry that Han is dead and we need to see a greater sense of justice for him, but what we also need to see is Deckard Shaw with a deeper sense of redemption. Jason Statham’s character is present in a lot of scenes in the last film, but it is obvious that the crew had to try really hard to implement him into the storyline. Now that he is here, he is going to stick around, but the Fast and Furious 9 needs to provide a good reason for the team to accept Shaw.

Cipher’s Punishment

One of the evilest characters in the Fast and Furious franchise is Cipher, played by Charlize Theron. At the end of the eighth film, she somehow managed to escape, which was frustrating, but now with her as an option, the crew has a chance to create a very good storyline. However, Cipher has to pay for the murder of Elena and everything she has done to the Dom’s family. Hopefully, justice will be served in Fast and Furious 9.

Hobbs and Shaw

Soon, the Fast and Furious spin-off is going to be created, and the focus will be on Hobbs, played by Dwayne Johnson and Shaw, so we are going to learn more about these two characters. This doesn’t mean that we don’t want to watch them more in the Fast and Furious given the fact that Hobbs is now one of the fans’ favorites – actually, the fans loved him the moment he appeared in Fast Five. In addition, his chemistry with Deckard is tremendous, which is yet another reason to see them more in Fast and Furious 9.
