As you know, the Fast and Furious franchise revolve around family, and it has been its biggest selling point. Recently the crew had some beef on the set, but thankfully it all got resolved, and they are once more all together, and they are jointly announcing the official Fast and Furious 8 trailer.

According to Vin Diesel, the team is traveling to New York City for a new setting, helping premiere the film’s first official preview this Sunday, December 11th over Facebook. To aid additionally and to prepare the fans, a “sneak peak” has been released featuring glimpses at Fast 8 and Charlize Theron‘s Cipher. Diesel also teased the broad audiences about his character (Dom) that is going to be pushed to his limits this time, but that is probably not all. Dom and Cipher, apparently, are shown standing next to each other as Letty (Rodriguez) lies in shattered glass on the floor. There is an option, though, that this scene is cut together from some others, but it also seems that these two may have some history. In this sneak peak, Johnson tells that Cipher will have no mercy, while Diesel adds on that saying that these adversaries will test the group’s family bond. The sneak peak can be seen in the video below.

Needless to say, the F&F movie franchise is a unique blockbuster that is so intense and action packed, but on the other hand so closely grasping the family concept on the level that it has extended to the cast where the majority of them have been together since the very beginning. Just because of that you could, if you looked closely, see Paul Walker in the sneak peek video who died during Fast 7 shooting, and as you know, the impact of his death still can be seen on his castmates even three years later. We stumbled on an Instagram post commemorating the anniversary of Paul’s death on which Diesel wrote that he hopes the next chapter will honor his fallen friend.

For all of you that didn’t catch any of the previous F&F related posts, it is good to point out that the Fast 8 will be directed by Straight Outta Compton’s F. Gary Gray and it will be filmed in different locations, as it is F&F tradition so far, including Iceland and Cuba. The cast, regarding the family, remained unchanged, and it also includes names like Ludacris, Jason Statham, Helen Mirren, Jordana Brewster, Kurt Russell, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kristofer Hivju, and Lucas Black.
