Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) Used To Track Allegedly Stolen Package

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB)’s utility has changed, and the platform has evolved to become center of all activities for large number of users. Facebook proved to be helpful to a person, who tracked his FedEx parcel on the social networking site, which was gone missing from his front door. A man living in Texas tracked his lost parcel with the help of his surveillance camera and Facebook.

In his surveillance camera, Texas’ Jeff Turner saw that someone is taking the package delivered in front of his door, which had his son’s Houston Rockets sweater. The man covered his identity with the help of a sweatshirt and walked away after picking the parcel.

Facebook, surveillance camera came to rescue

Turner decided to take the help of Facebook to see if anyone among his friends identified the alleged scoundrel. Turner posted the screenshot of the footage on Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) to see if anyone in his circle is able to recognise the person. As he told ABC News: “The more I thought about it, the kind of madder I got.”

Turner succeeded as the miscreant was quickly identified, when someone probably identified him by his shorts. The boy was mowing the lawn at a house, which was in the vicinity to Turner’s home. Turner went to the house and reportedly got his sweater back. Turner said that he will not report the incident to the police, but next time he will not be that humble.

In his conversation with the KHOU-TV, Turner said, “He says he bolt off on his bike a little while ago — the kid that did it — but he left the sweater here, so we do have our product back.”

Another strange case

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has become a platform of activities and actions that were hardly expected when the social networking came into existence.

In a separate development, the Supreme Court in the United States is planning to take action against those, who use violent or threatening language on Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) and other social media. Supreme Court authorities will hear a case of a man, who has been imprisoned for around four years for posting graphically violent rap lyrics on Facebook about killing his estranged wife, shooting up a kindergarten class and attacking an FBI agent.
