Elimination Chamber Match Will Have Seven Participants For The First-Time Ever

WWE Elimination Chamber is not as big of a deal as the Royal Rumble match is, but there is no doubt that EC battle is a great way to get to Wrestlemania. Sometimes, this clash is for the WWE Championship, like it is in the case of women. But other times, it is even for the mid-card title like it was in 2015, or for the tag-team championships.

This year, the winner is going to go on to Mania and face Brock Lesnar who is currently holding the Universal Championship.

Usually, we have six guys that are battling for the title or the spot. Braun Strowman, Elias, and John Cena earned a spot in the match two weeks ago by winning their qualifying matches. Last week, we have seen Roman Reigns and The Miz winning their battles to enter this clash.

We thought that there was only one spot left and the winner of the match in which were all the guys that already lost would fill that void. That wrestler would have been the lucky loser.

But, Seth Rollins also entered the match, and he booked his ticket to the EC. But so did Finn Balor. How did that happen?

Well, they both pinned Bray Wyatt at the same time. We don’t know why WWE booked the referee to count the pin when both of the guys pinned the same guy, but we guess that it was the only thing that they could have come up with so that it makes at least a little bit of sense.

Now, we have seven contenders in the match for the first time. Still, this doesn’t change the fact that Roman Reigns is the clear-cut favorite and that he is likely going to win this battle.
