Eastern Conference All-Star Starters Revealed

It’s that time of the year when NFL season in almost finished and the NBA is about to take over. The start of the real NBA season is the All-Star break and the festivities during the All-Star weekend. The biggest one is the game that is traditionally played on Sunday. Yesterday, the starters were named for both conferences and here is the list of guys that made it in the East.

Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers – Kyrie Irving has gotten the most votes of the fans, the most votes from the players and he was third in the media voting. That was enough to earn him an All-Star starting nod in the East. 2014 All-Star game MVP has been voted in for the fourth time in six years.

DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors – DeRozan has been the best player on the second-best team in the East. He was voted in by the players and the media as he was only fourth when it comes to fans list. Toronto’s all-time leading scorer will make his second straight All-Star appearance and his third overall.

Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls – Butler has shown that he can be the franchise player as his all-around skills have evolved this season. He clearly deserves this starting spot just as much as anybody. This will be his third overall All-Star game and also his third in a row.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks – Greek Freak has been one of the best players in the NBA this season, so he was rewarded with a starting spot in the Eastern Conference All-Star squad. He is a first-time All-Star and the first Bucks player to be selected to the All-Star game since Michael Redd during the 2003-2004 NBA season.

LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers – The best player in the world has been a lock to make it to the All-Star game in the past 10 years, and it seems that he will start for a lot more years to come. LeBron is making his 13th consecutive All-Star appearance, and he started in all of those 13 seasons. He is also the leading scorer in All-Star game history.
