Dwayne Johnson, the star of Rampage, shared some extra photos from the set of the video game adaptation. One of them features the Oscar nominee and his co-star, Naomie Harris.

Rampage also includes Joe Manganiello (from True Blood), Malin Akerman (from Billions), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (from The Walking Dead) and Jake Lacy (from Girls). Also, there are Jack Quaid (from The Hunger Games), Marley Shelton (from Solace), Matt Gerald (from Daredevil), Breanne Hill (from San Andreas) and P.J. Byrne (from The Wolf of Wall Street).

Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson), a primatologist, has problems with getting friends but is very close with George, a highly intelligent silverback gorilla he has been taking care of since its birth. However, a complicated genetic experiment goes wrong, and the good-natured gorilla is transformed into a furious beast. And to make things worse, they soon discover that there are other alpha predators altered in the same way. While these freshly created creatures raid across North America and wreck everything in their way, Okoye teams up with a disgraced genetic engineer so that they can find a cure. He fights through a constantly changing battlefield, so as to prevent a global catastrophe from happening and also to rescue the horrific monster that used to be his friend.

Executive producers are Dwayne Johnson, Jeff Fierson, Marcus Viscidi and Dany Garcia, while the co-producer is Wendy Jacobson. The director is Brad Peyton, from a screenplay done by Adam Sztykiel and Ryan Engle.

The original Rampage game was released in 1986. It allows players to control one of three monsters: a giant lizard Lizzy, a giant ape George or a giant werewolf Ralph. In the game, the monsters run across the US and fight the army and destroy the cities. Several installments were made with the same title, and those included even more monsters that were added to the list and broadened the destruction path into space and even back in time.

Rampage will be in theaters on April 20, 2018.
