Dwayne Johnson is definitely having a moment. There isn’t a movie star who works harder than him right now, which promoted him as the highest-paid actor in 2016. There are 20 upcoming movies that we can’t wait for, but let’s start one by one:

Baywatch
Another famous franchise back to life describing legendary Mitch Buchannon (Johnson) struggling with the new lifeguard recruiters. The genre is expected to be a comedy, considering Horrible Bosses’ director Seth Gordon tackled the task. Releasing date is in May 2017.

Doc Savage
This movie is about a fictional character, a world first superhero, a man of great intelligence and unmatched strength.
Johnson has been thrilled for the director Shane Black offered him the part: “Doc was physically and mentally trained from birth by his father and a team of scientists to become the perfect human specimen with a genius level intellect. His heightened senses are beyond comprehension. He can even identify a women’s perfume from half a mile away. He is literally the master of everything. But here’s the #1 reason I’m excited to become Doc Savage.. HE’S A F*CKING HILARIOUS WEIRDO!“

The shooting probably starts in 2017., after Black finishes filming The Predator.

Fast 8
Johnson has been involved in another franchise, and the new movie is already in production. This time including a lot of cars and muscles, worldwide known as Fast and Furious. The Rock is part of the cast since the Fast 5. We don’t have much about the plot at this moment, but after we’ve seen Dwaine’s image in a sleeveless leather vest with an interesting goatee, we will use our imagination.
The premiere is scheduled for April 2017.

Journey 3: From The Earth To The Moon
Whereas the release date already has been determined and that movie should be in cinemas on 16th June 2017, shooting would need to start promptly to manage to hit the deadline.
The director Brad Peyton is now presenting the third sequel of popular franchise Journey 3 and it’s going to be “more adventurous than the previous one.” As we could hint from the title, the movie plot will definitely consider some action on the moon.

Two additional roles are still to be announced, but we have Dwayne’s promise it’s about “one bad ass girl” and “one semi-sorta bad ass dude”.

Let us leave something for the next time. One thing is certain, we got tired only from naming not even half of expected projects. Can’t stop wondering how will The Rock manage to participate in every one of those?
