Dwayne Johnson’s Skyscraper Releases a New Poster

Rampage is already in theaters, with a satisfying amount of box office success, so other Dwayne Johnson’s projects will now get more space under the spotlight. Universal just released a new poster for The Rock’s upcoming action-thriller Skyscraper. In this film, People’s Champ plays a former FBI agent who became a security expert. His latest job requires him to assess the security of a newly-built most-modern skyscraper.

The story of Johnson’s latest movie happens in China where the world’s biggest skyscraper is set on fire. People assume he did it, and the action takes off from there. While under accusations he attempts to find those responsible while trying to save his family in the process because they are trapped inside of that building.

After releasing the new poster, Johnson had a message for all of his fans. He posted on Twitter: “Nice to feel everyone’s excitement building for this one. Inspired by films The Fugitive, Die Hard [and] Towering Inferno. I can’t guarantee I’ll save my wife and kid’s lives, but I can guarantee I’ll do everything I can for the rest of mine.”

In addition to Central Intelligence actor, Skyscraper also stars Neve Campbell, Pablo Schreiber, Noah Taylor, Chin Han, Byron Mann, Roland Moller, and Hannah Quinlivan. The project is directed by Rawson Marshall who is also behind Johnson’s Central Intelligence. The production is handled by Johnson himself and his loyal team from Seven Bucks Productions Dany and Hiram Garcia, Thurber and Beau Flynn, and Wendy Jacobson. The same group worked on most of Johnson’s previous movies including Rampage.

In recent months Dwayne has been on a hot streak with his projects. Last year he had massive success with The Fate Of The Furious and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. In 2018 he had Rampage hit the theaters with the movie earning its budget during the opening weekend. The film is still going strong overseas. Now with a pattern set, the same is expected from Skyscraper and upcoming Jungle Cruise and Fast & Furious spin-off.
