Previously, Dwayne Johnson said that he is not going to debut in Shazam! as Black Adam. However, the good news is that we might see The Rock in the role of the DC supervillain sooner than expected. Namely, Warner Bros. thinks that Suicide Squad 2 would be a perfect place to introduce Black Adam who is Shazam’s biggest nemesis.

It has been confirmed that “the current plan for the sequel is for the members of Suicide Squad to be tasked with tracking down a weapon of mass destruction. That weapon? Black Adam himself.” That sounds pretty good.

The Wrap reminded us of something The Rock told Fandango back in May. The popular Hollywood actor said: “We have a really cool surprise for Black Adam that I can’t reveal, in terms of where we will see Black Adam being introduced.”

It makes sense to introduce Dwayne Johnson, who is already popular in a movie that is easily going to be a box office sensation. After that, Johnson’s Black Adam will be a major character in some future projects. The writer and the possible director of Suicide Squad 2 is Gavin O’Connor whereas the production starts in fall, next year. We all know that Johnson has a busy schedule, but in this case, that will not be a problem since his part is not going to be that huge.

It is too early to know the release date of Suicide Squad 2, but we will keep you updated. For now, we know that Margot Robbie returns as Harley Quinn and Will Smith will be in a role of Deadshot, fan-favorite characters. Stay tuned for more details.
