We are all looking forward to seeing Dwayne The Rock Johnson appear as Black Adam in the upcoming Suicide Squad 2, there is no doubt about that. But, apparently, the actor would also make an excellent Batroc the Leaper if he didn’t have enough on his plate already. Well, at least that’s what it seems like judging by the new poster for the forthcoming action adventure movie Skyscraper. As you can see in the photo below, the poster features The Rock showing his amazing leaping skills. Namely, Johnson is jumping from an unreasonably high crane platform to a burning skyscraper.

Now, the question is – is there some deeper meaning behind this image? When it comes to the film alone, the poster does not really reveal much about the plot. However, we could find some relation between the photo and Johnson’s plans to run for president in 2020. How could that be? It’s quite simple, actually – the burning building could represent the flames rising in America, in which case the crane platform would be The Rock’s campaign platform of issues, and, of course, the actor himself would be the hero who is taking a leap of faith to save his people. Have in mind that this is just a possible interpretation, but still, it’s an interesting one, don’t you think?

As for the movie itself, here’s the official synopsis: “Global icon Dwayne Johnson leads the cast of Legendary’s Skyscraper as former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Ford, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China, he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building…above the fire line.”

On top of all that, we did get a short version of the trailer during the Super Bowl and soon after that full video was aired on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Skyscraper is set to hit theaters in July this year. In the meantime, stay tuned for more news.
