Dwayne Johnson Loves Adebayo Akinfenwa’s Goal Celebration

Wycombe Wanderers played against Port Vale and won 3-2. The highlight of the match, for Dwayne Johnson fans at least, was when Adebayo Akinfenwa scored his second goal. However, the goal itself was not the highlight, but what he did after, during the celebration.

Akinfenwa, who is nicknamed “the Beast” and who is known as the most powerful man in soccer dropped the People’s Elbow on his teammate Luke O’Nien. Johnson, also known as The Rock approved this move, which is no wonder at all, considering that People’s Elbow was his signature finishing move while he was still a WWE wrestler.

The popular 45-year old actor and the highest-paid man in Hollywood joked about Akinfenwa’s effort by taking it to Twitter. The Rock wrote: “Heart stoppin’ elbow droppin’…. well done brotha”

His teammate O’Nein didn’t like the celebration so much because he was the “victim.” He joked on Twitter: “Just got out of A&E. Planning my pay back celebration.” Perhaps we will see O’Nein stealing some moves from Dwayne Johnson as well.

One of the most famous catchphrases The Rock uses is “Do you smell what The Rock is cooking?” We are not sure whether Akinfenwa used the phrase as well before he performed the popular elbow dropped, but he definitely cooked the victory for his team. He will try to lead his team to one of the first three places on the table, which would secure promotion for Wycombe. However, the season has just started.

In the meantime, Johnson is working on a lot of projects, including Jungle Cruise, Rampage, and his HBO series Ballers. Jumanji is his next film, and it comes at the end of the year. Hopefully, it will be more successful than Baywatch that wasn’t accepted all that great.
