Dwayne Johnson is the Entertainer of the Year – NAACP Image Awards

At the 2017 NAACP Image Awards, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has earned the Entertainer of the Year award. The event took place on Saturday at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, and the competition was tight.

First of all, we have to say that Beyonce won five awards on Friday night and Dwayne Johnson, the famous Hollywood actor and the former WWE star managed to beat her on Saturday and get the ultimate prize. Furthermore, Denzel Washington and Taraji P. Henson won the movie acting awards while Henson was the one who won acting awards for the Hidden Figures and the popular TV show Empire.

The best television drama belongs to Queen Sugar while the best television comedy went to Black-ish. Anthony Anderson, Sterling K. Brown and Tracee Ellis Ross were the winners of TV acting awards.

The best basketball player in the world LeBron James received Jackie Robinson Sports Award, while the law professor Charles J. Ogletree, Jr. and historian Lonnie G. Bunch III won Chairman’s Award and President’s Award respectively.

The host of the show was Anthony Anderson, and it was aired on TV One on Saturday, while the Friday night was not shown on television. Congratulations to all the nominees and the winners of the awards.
