For some people, waking up early is the worst part of the day. No matter whether you are going to work, or you need to wake up for some other reasons, you start to appreciate every second you spend under the warm sheets, and you always put your alarm on snooze. Once you do get up, you are already slightly late, and you need to rush through your morning and just get out of the house.

People need to wake up and get mentally prepared for the challenges that day, so you yearn for those extra minutes in bed. But even if you do get up on time, you want to drink coffee, eat, take a shower and dress properly, and that takes some time. Then you hear that people wake up hours before work and go running which makes you wonder: “What is the matter with me (or them)?”

You have probably tried different approaches to waking up eager such as changing your alarm to sudden scary noises that would get you jumping out of bed. Or, putting your favorite tune to wake up with the smile, but usually, the song we put on the alarm is the one that will be hated after some time. You can even try to set the alarm earlier than necessary, and when it goes off, snooze it for a few rounds too when you actually want to get up, but that plan usually fails.

Then you hear that Dwayne Johnson created an app, which is a motivational alarm clock. Why not try it? Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, debuted in WWE 21 years ago on the Survivor Series. Even though he looked ridiculous back then, this guy became one of the WWE legends with six heavyweight titles. After a while, he “got bored” of winning in WWE and he decided to test his luck in Hollywood. The beginning was rough, and after some failed projects and poor movies, he made it.

Today Dwayne Johnson is one of the highest-paid stars in Hollywood, according to Forbes. Also, he is one of the most popular personas on social media and has more than 65 million followers on Instagram. You probably don’t remember this, but in 2015, Dwayne Johnson teamed up with Under Armor and one year after that, Project Rock officially launched. The project was designed to “bring you innovative products that inspire men, women and kids to stay hungry, humble and always be the hardest workers in the room.”

Under Armour has had the idea to create a series of products which are designed to help you achieve your goals. When it comes to accomplishing goals, who better to call than The Rock. The total of four products or “projects” will be released with two already out – the alarm app is the second one. If you didn’t know, the first product was the backpack, and we cannot wait to see the other two.

This app can be used to help you fulfill your plans whatever they are, but let’s see if it could help you wake up early every morning. When you download the app and start it, you need to type your goal or project and the end date. Unlike other apps, the snooze button doesn’t exist, and if you want to cheat, you can always set your regular alarm to the time you want to get up – just in case. But that is not the point. Plus, when the app’s alarm starts ringing you will hear The Rock sing to you. How can you stay in bad after that?

After some time, and a few successful days, The Rock Clock starts to feel like any other alarm. But when you see the messages from Johnson such as “HEEELLOOOO!? Earth to sleeping beauty. Wake up! Right now!” and “This is officially your last warning. I tried. You don’t want to get up, that’s on you” you cannot but feel guilty.

The Rock Clock is a good app – it is funny and different than the regular alarms, but still, if you don’t know WHY you are waking up early, don’t expect miracles. It is a nice app to have and combine it with the regular alarm. But again, it is all up to you – if you are determined to do something, this app will only help you track your goals.
