All of us by now know about the public dispute during The Fate of the Furious that Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson had but as it turns out they have buried their differences and found a way to work together which is backed up by a fact that both of them will be back in Fast & Furious 9. Dwayne made his first appearance in Fast Five and brought a new wind to the franchise, while his character Hobs rose up at the game in Fast 6. Hobs was somewhat put aside in the seventh sequel, but now with Dominic Toretto turning against his beloved family in The Fate of the Furious, both of these characters are now balanced out, at least in the movie.

As you recall the feud between Dwayne and Vin was made public by The Rock in the final days of filming of the eighth installment. The result of their “fight” can be seen in the latest installment of F&F where the two actors barely had a scene together, but it turns out that they managed to work something out and will do the F&F 9 together. As we find out from TMZ and their sources close to the production, both Vin and Johnson have confirmed that they will return for Fast & Furious 9 and that they have, apparently, met several times in order to reconcile their differences. We have tried several times to find out what the feud between them was about but they both didn’t want to disclose it. We dug up even further and discovered out that the argue, allegedly, was over their competing roles and desire to be the face of the franchise — something Johnson reportedly conceded to Diesel.

If the reason for their fight is actually true, then this is not something that is too surprising, especially with the fact that Diesel has appeared in every installment so far, while Johnson, with his impressive box office winning streak, is the most desirable name that you want to attach to any franchise. The fallback plan, if these two haven’t patched up things, was to start discussions for Hobbs to get his own spinoff movie, but since they did it, Fast & Furious 9 should be able to get both stars and their characters back on screen together again. We are very thankful for this because with a franchise this big as is the Fast and Furious, the break up between characters so strong and striking like Vin and Dwayne could result in disaster.

Everything we have to do now is to wait and see what challenges the next threat is going to bring to this big screen family. They will be required to save the day once again, the only way they can do that is to be the best – Fast and Furious.

I like cars and everything that comes with them. My passion are American muscle cars, but unfortunately the closest I managed to come near one is behind my laptop watching an image of the new Chevy or Dodge and writing about it. But that’s ok I’m still optimistic. When I’m not behind the laptop writing I’m on the streets and auto shows admiring all stuff rolling on four wheels being propelled by a petrol engine!
