The ongoing feud between Dwayne Johnson and Tyrese Gibson has taken the unexpected turn as the Fast and Furious franchise star Vin Diesel sided with The Rock. Nobody expected this to happen since Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel have had their feud for a while.

Gibson was mad about Johnson’s new Fast and Furious spin-off project which is going to be about his character Hobbs. Namely, Gibson said that The Rock is “breaking up the Fast family” because this film would cause the Fast and Furious 9 to be postponed, which is not something fans want to see.

Fast 9 is going to be premiered on April 10, 2024, instead of April 19, 2019, as it was planned initially, whereas the spin-off will be released on July 26, 2019. Interestingly enough, during the Johnson-Vin Diesel feud, Gibson supported the actor playing Dom, whereas the popular Toretto sided with Dwayne this time around, not returning the favor to Gibson.

Many believed that Fast 9 is delayed because of Dwayne’s new movie, but that is not the case. Diesel said: “I know there has been a lot of speculation as to why the Fast 9 release date was pushed… but it would be unfair to say it is anyone’s fault.”

He also added: “As we plot the course to expand the Fast & Furious universe, one must be mindful to take stock of the roads we took to get here. The pillars of authenticity, family and most importantly, our loyal fan’s perspective has been instrumental in procuring success.

“However, like any vehicle that has run around the globe 8 times, the franchise is in need of maintenance. My good friend and the godfather of Universal, Ron Meyer has granted me the time to do just that. We have some very exciting news to share soon… stay tuned,” explained the franchise star.

Dwayne Johnson remained quiet and refused to respond to Gibson publicly, but he hinted at the feud in a new video posted on Instagram. He said during the workout: “Real men work. Big dogs eat. Little crying puppies stay on the porch.” Johnson is a man who works on numerous projects simultaneously, and the first one to come is Jumanji 2: Welcome to the Jungle in December.
