It seems like every sphere of life in the US nowadays is filled with politics. President of the United States of America, Donald Trump is having quite a bad record when it comes to rows with athletes. Recently he denounced Steph Curry and the Warriors on Twitter, but now he had something to say about the NFL!

President Trump urged people on Twitter to stop attending NFL games because players are ‘disrespecting our flag and country!’ How is that? Well, not bending the knee is how you disrespect the US. He urged people to do this not long after he rescinded a White House invitation for the Golden State Warriors.

His actions spurred numerous messages where prominent athletes denounced President Trump however he didn’t reply directly to any of those.

Trump also used some of his time during the Friday night speech to address issues such as race and politics. He didn’t hold back, and he made sure that he put everyone in their place. As a response a basketball player, LeBron James took to Twitter and called the president a ‘bum.’ Having your opinion is fine but being impolite isn’t. Maybe some of these athletes need to read a book or two because they act like spoiled children.

In his speech, President Trump stated that Stephen Curry, the two-time MVP for the Golden State Warriors would not be welcome at the White House following his stalling of the invitation. ‘Going to the White House is considered a great honour for a championship team. Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!’

Trump later repeated his words from the Alabama rally and urged NFL to discipline players who decide to kneel for the national anthem! He mentioned the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and said how he should take measures because of the disrespect towards the flag and country.

He later urged fans to boycott NFL games. ‘If NFL fans refuse to go to games until players stop disrespecting our Flag & Country, you will see change take place fast,’ he tweeted. ‘Fire or suspend!’

Warriors as a whole claimed how they were not welcome at the White House, but that statement was released only after Steph Curry said how he didn’t even want to go there. Steve Kerr said how he was not surprised that POTUS had a row with his team in a way. ‘Not surprised. He was going to break up with us before we could break up with him.’ Some people seem to forget that manners matter.

LeBron James surely forgot everything about manners considering what he wrote on Twitter. ‘U bum @ StephenCurry30 already said he ain’t going!’ James tweeted in a clear message to POTUS. ‘So therefore ain’t no invite. Going to White House was a great honour until you showed up!’

Some basketball players need to stick to playing basketball only because this brings shame to the NBA as an organization. This kind of behavior coming from kids’ role models isn’t good.
