Dodge Challenger GT With AWD Accidentally Confirmed

The new Dodge Challenger was unintentionally confirmed by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The EPA posted the fuel economy figures, thus revealing the AWD model. The Dodge Challenger GT will be equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine and it will get 18 mpg in the city, 27 mpg on the highway and 21 mpg combined.

Those numbers are a bit lower in comparison to the RWD Challenger which is equipped with the same 3.6-liter V6 unit. This RWD vehicle gets 19 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. Dodge Challenger with an AWD is supposed to go on sale sometime next year according to some reports. However, the company has never confirmed this vehicle, so until that happens we cannot be 100% sure.

Nevertheless, we are one step closer to the vehicle since the EPA announced the fuel economy figures. Furthermore, the new Challenger is supposed to be launched before the company overhauls its vehicles in 2018. In addition to the GT, we hope that Dodge will come out with the Challenger ADR (ADR stands for American Drag Racer).
