During Cowboys’ game against the Bears on Monday Night Football, Dez Bryant left the game with apparent knee injury. Nobody was really that concerned about his knee as he was able to come back into the match and score a Touchdown, first TD of Prescott’s career.

He was avoiding MRI’s all week long in fear of what that scan might reveal. Well, he took it at the end, and it has shown that he has a hairline fracture in his knee. Bryant himself stated that he is in a good place and good with this results, but that doesn’t mean that we’ll get to see Dez on the field on Sunday.

Bryant also pointed out that he will be, along with his doctors and Cowboys’ medical staff, “smart” with this knee injury.

“It’s a day-to-day thing. I feel good,” Bryant said in his first interview with the media since he hurt his knee on Sunday against the Bears. “I’m getting better each and every day. We’re just going to go from there. We’ve got a hell of a football team. Everybody’s mind is right. The mentality we’ve built since this off-season is tremendous, and I felt like any guy that steps in there, as many as we want to go down, is going to step up and do the job. That’s just something we’ve built around here, and we’ve got good things going on and we just want to keep that rolling.”

It’s clear that Dez believes in his team and that they can end up victorious against the 49ers even if he is unable to play on Sunday.

“Luckily, it was way better than what I thought. Everything is good. Just ready to get back on that field, whenever that time is.”

This injury can keep Bryant off the grass for three weeks in the worst case. He is just happy that he won’t miss much time even in worst case scenario. But, he does admit that he should have handled this situation much better. At the end of the day, everything has ended well for the Cowboys.
