Dallas Cowboys were hoping that they will be preparing for the Super Bowl this and the next week, but after the loss to the Green Bay Packers, they had to change their plans. Now, their coaches are preparing to lead in the Pro Bowl. They learned that they would be adding another of their players to the squad this week.

With Julio Jones preparing to play in the Super Bowl LI, the league announced that Dez Bryant will be his replacement and will join the lineup for the NFL’s version of the All-Star game. This will mark Bryant’s third appearance in the Pro Bowl, along with his nominations in 2013 and 2014. He did miss a lot of time in 2015 season, but he was back on the field this year and made a big impact for the Dallas Cowboys.

He was injured at the beginning of the season, but when he got back on the field, he was the go-to guy for the Cowboys. He did end the season with 50 catches for 796 yards and eight TDs. There is no doubt about the fact that those numbers were influenced by a three-game absence due to a knee injury.

Those figures are not as good as what he had in his previous two Pro Bowl seasons, but he ended the year on fire. Eight catches for 82 yards is what he recorded against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Then, he caught two TDs against Detriot, including one TD throw. He saved his best for the last as he had two TD catches and 132 receiving yards against the Green Bay Packers, but it wasn’t enough for Dallas to overcome their bad first half.

Now, with him in the Pro Bowl, the Dallas Cowboys will have seven players in the game. Bryant will join Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot, Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick, Zach Martin and Sean Lee on the NFC roster.
