Deadpool 2: Michael Shannon as Cable

There have been many speculations revolving around Deadpool 2, especially regarding Cable and the issue of who is going to portray him in this installment. The recent news suggests that Michael Shannon is currently the most probable candidate competing with Brad Pitt for the famous role. Upon hearing news like this, Boss Logic usually uses the previous parts of the actors to show the audience how they would look like in their new roles.

Yesterday morning, they posted their suggestion of Michael Shannon as Cable on Twitter but soon came out interesting news about Brad Pitt also being considered for the big role. Not long after that, although he is seen now as the frontrunner, the news came out that Brad himself has no longer the intention of taking on this famous role.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick commented on the issue by saying that for Cable they need to find an actor who has a stronger dose of masculinity, due to the fact that Ryan Reynolds will be reflecting a “hint of femininity.”

Before this news, we had a wide range of actors who were showing interest in this role. One of them was Stephen Lang, who expressed his desire by posting a photo on Twitter. But among these lines, there were also Dolph Lundgren, Ron Perlman and Russell Crowe.

The reason for the disagreement between Tim Miller and Ryan Reynolds may precisely be the casting of the actors for Cable. Namely, Tim apparently wanted Kyle Chandler on board, whom Ryan dismissed as a possibility, as he wanted someone older for this part. Before Brad Pitt and Michael Shannon we had Pierce Brosnan and the star David Harbour of Stranger Things as the best possible candidates.

While waiting for producers to make up their minds regarding Cable, the role of Domino has already been assigned to Zazie Beetz. Before her, there were many other actresses in the game such as Lizzy Caplan, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Sienna Miller, Sofia Boutella, Stephanie Sigman and Sylvia Hoeks along with Scandal star Kerry Washington and Moonlight star Janelle Monae.

While expecting the news on Deadpool 2, enjoy the new work of Boss Logic showing Michael Shannon as Cable.
