After numerous speculations that the reality show Dance Moms was canceled after the seventh season, fans started thinking that these guesses might actually be true, which was supported by many participants’ posts implying that Season 7 was the show’s finale. Another thing that made people think that this reality has been canceled was Abby Lee Miller’s departure.

However, we finally have some good news for you. Namely, Bryan Stinson, the show’s executive producer, has recently made an official announcement saying that Dance Moms will be renewed for Season 8. “That’s a wrap on season 7. 208 hours of Dance Moms programming. Season 7 was heaven. Season 8 will be gr8t,“ he posted on his Twitter.

When Miller, the dancers’ mentor and coach, decided to leave the show, she was replaced by Cheryl Burke, the winner of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. But, when it comes to the upcoming season, it has not been confirmed that Burke will be a part of the project once again.

Having left Dance Moms, Abby Lee Miller said that she had made such decision because of the pickup deal. “I was not offered a formal pick up an agreement for any more episodes! I wish everyone, cast & crew the best of luck,” Miller commented. However, she now has to face a much bigger problem – to do the sentence for bankruptcy fraud. The verdict has not been reached yet, so we still don’t know whether she will have to spend some time in jail or not, and, if so, for how long. All we know for now is that she pleaded guilty and that the trial is scheduled for May 8, so it won’t be long before we have some more specific information.

Stay tuned and we’ll let you know about Miller’s case, as well as the latest news about the next season of your favorite reality show.
