When Rick was 11, he read an article in the Readers Digest about treasure on the Island and he became interested. The article was about the treasure and everything that had been found which indicated something was buried somewhere on the island. Rick and Marty’s father showed them another article, this time from The Wall Street Journal and both of them were fascinated. Ever since that moment, Rick knew that he wanted to go to the island and investigate.
