Numerous viewers of the Hallmark Channel were acquainted with their new original series Chesapeake Shores back in December 2015. Stars of the series are Jesse Metcalfe and Barbara Niven. The first season was filmed in Parksville, British Columbia, and Vancouver Island’s Qualicum Beach. The series was delivered during the period August – October 2016, and it received extremely positive feedback.

Namely, it was one of the most-watched series in the network’s history. Its main audience are women aged between 25 and 54. Since it won the hearts of the public to that extent, Hallmark promised its fans another season this summer. The production of the second season will begin as soon as possible, and it will consist of ten episodes. Chesapeake Shores Season 2 will be released in July, and it will broadcast on Sunday evenings at 9 p.m.

Abby O’Brien Winters is a divorced woman with two daughters. In the first season, Abby left New York to return to her hometown Chesapeake Shores, Maryland so that she could give a hand to her younger sister Jess. Here Abby met the man she left sixteen years ago and realized that he deserved a second chance.

As far as its cast is concerned, Metcalfe stars as Trace, while Meghan Ory is Abby O’Brien and Niven got the role of Abby’s mother, Megan. The plot of the series is based on the novels by Sherryl Woods, who is also an executive producer along with Nancey Silvers and Dan Paulson.
