What all Castle fans are eagerly waiting for is Season 9 of the extremely popular crime-drama series. Namely, there are some speculations that, although the Season 8 wrapped up the story nicely, there might be something going on with its next installment.
This American comedy-crime-drama TV series debuted on ABC on March 9, 2009, and lasted until May 16, 2016. To everyone’s disappointment, it was called off, but now it looks like the topic about the sequel has come back to life. This has happened mainly due to the talks with Nathan Fillion, who plays the main character of Castle since in some reports it is stated that he mentioned he would come back for one last season.
Namely, during the production of the 8th season, there had been numerous reports on some quarrels between the show’s main leads, Fillion and Stana Katic. It seemed that Fillion was the one who was unfair and treated his co-star harshly. The insider claimed that on many sets in the last season Stana Katic would always return to her dressing room at the end of the shooting in tears.
Therefore, it was announced on May 12, 2016, that the show would be cancelled. That is not all as there were some reports that Stana Katic was fired and some other ones stating that she left because she wasn’t satisfied with the salary.
Be that as it may, executive producers Terence Paul Winter and Alexi Hawley came up with an alternate finale episode for “Castle” Season 8, in which Katic’s role has a completely different end. This would allow the show to be perceived from a different angle, meaning that this may not be the end of the popular crime-drama. What’s more, Andrew Marlowe, series creator, has met Fillion recently, which only added fuel to the fire and provoked further speculations. All we can do is wait and keep our fingers crossed for the next season to be delivered as soon as possible.
