Carson Wentz Looking Like A Real Deal For The Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles didn’t make the Playoffs last year with Sam Bradford at the Quarterback position, and it was clear that both sides needed a change of scenery. Philly traded a lot of picks to move up in the 2016 NFL Draft and take Wentz with 2nd overall pick and they also shipped out Bradford to Minneapolis while receiving a First-Rounder for a guy who did not even want to play for the Eagles.

Now having seen Wentz’s performance in Week 1 against the Browns, we can say that Philly’s front office did a great job with drafting Wentz as he looked really good in his first NFL game. Even though he had no previous NFL experience, he was calm and looked like being in a total control of the match.

Wentz went 22/37 for 278 yards, and he connected with his receivers on two huge plays for the Touchdown. He was poised, looked good throwing the ball in the pocket, his deep ball was just a thing of beauty, he proved that he can get rid of the ball quickly. Furthermore, he was able to avoid some sacks and also showed that he can run with the ball as well.
