Both Smith And Fitzpatrick Took The Field In Jets Win Over Ravens

New York Jets were in a complete mess in the past couple of weeks. Even though they won the game against the equally bad Ravens, they still continue to have a lot of problems. After benching Ryan Fitzpatrick for Geno Smith just a couple of days ago, Fitz was back on the field. Geno injured his knee and was unable to return for Jets.

Even though they used two quarterbacks in this game, they were able to hold on and beat the Ravens. Still, that really doesn’t tell us much. But it does speak a lot about the Baltimore Ravens and just how bad this team actually is. Joe Flacco had a horrific day with a lot of throws, bad completion percentage and two interceptions with no touchdowns.

Geno Smith had gone 4/8 for 95 yards and a touchdown before he injured his knee. Ryan Fitzpatrick took over and had the best second half of the season as he went 9/14 for 120 yards and a TD. He did look good just a couple of days after getting benched for Geno Smith.

The case can be made that this is the best that we saw of Fitz so far this season. It’s going to be interesting to see who will start the next game for New York. As for the Ravens, they have just lost their fourth in a row. Their Playoff dreams will most likely stay only dreams. Sadly, same can be stated for the New York Jets.
