BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) is up for pre-orders with the big box retailers and ShopBlackBerry.com. December 17th is the scheduled date for the unveiling of the new device from Blackberry that is powered with BB10. The release has been confirmed by Rogers and Virgin mobile. The new addition to it is Bell that has put a page of ‘coming soon’ for Classic. The contract prices are not listed for now.

A new video on BlackBerry Classic

As per the Bell site, BlackBerry Classic offers access to the largest LTE network of Canada. The device would come with the Bell TV app and the users can watch 110 live and on-demand channels using it. The users can log in to the site of Bell and search for the device after which they will redirected to the ‘coming soon’ page. The page does not offer many details on the device.

Separately, a video featuring Classic has been released by BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) Classic. The video released on YouTube is about the browser on the device, which is touted as ‘fast and quick’. By clicking the Menu button on the tool belt of navigation keys it is possible for the users to share a website quickly. The app selection of the device is also talked about in the video.

Classic specifications

The 3.5-inch display device is powered with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, RAM of 2GB, an 8MP rear camera and front camera of 2MP. The battery is also powerful with 2515mAh. Besides this the device runs on the BB10 software and has the hardware keyboard. There is a belt row of functions that has the call, menu, track-pad, back, and end buttons. Traditional BlackBerry Classic navigation keys are there with a physical keyboard. The device is touch enabled and comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass.

The device comes with the Blend service that allows users to check the messages and content on the Blackberry device through a computer and tablet. Work and productivity-focused apps are available at the BlackBerry World and consumer apps can be downloaded from the Amazon Appstore.

  1. Wow sounds good I was hoping for the NEW BB that was like the Torch 9800. I loved the big screen and the slide keyboard.
