BlackBerry Limited (NASDAQ:BBRY) has opened up a new center to enhance the security of its application. This Center for High Assurance Computing Excellence is known as CHASE.

The new center is another leap forward by the Research and Development (R&D) department of the company. With CHASE, BlackBerry Limited (NASDAQ:BBRY) seeks to drive change and innovation in the field of computer security. The ever increasing connected devices are a playground for attackers. These devices are vulnerable to cyber threats. The threats to cyber security are increasing exponentially. Thus, computer companies need to step up their efforts to provide better security for their mobile and computer devices.

The old approach of taking measures after the attack will no longer be useful. The companies need to take a proactive approach to cyber security.
