This is the year in which we are going to get two Rumble matches for the first time ever. Stephanie McMahon has announced that women will finally get their over-the-top-rope Royal Rumble battle which is going to determine who will face one of the two champions at Wrestlemania 34 this spring in New Orleans.

One of the biggest stars that WWE has on their payroll is going to be present at the pay per view but is not going to be allowed to be in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble. We are talking about Charlotte who is probably the face of the Women’s division on the main roster. Somebody like that, most likely the best in-ring performer of all time, is going to miss this historic event.

In 2017 we have seen the first ever Money in the Bank match for the girls. Yes, that was a historic moment, and it is an honor for every woman that was in the battle for the briefcase. But, that is a newer concept that has been around for just a little bit more than a decade.

On the other hand, the Royal Rumble match has been around for over 30 years and is a big part of the WWE history. It has been used to set up some of the most memorable matches ever in the company and has given us some big moments that we are never going to forget. As fans, we are hoping that WWE is going to provide us with something like that again this year.

Charlotte knows that she has been a big part of this women’s revolution. But, she is also a competitor that wants to be in the middle of the action. A part of her is a bit sad that she is going to have to skip a match like this one.
