Better Sunday: Ezekiel Elliot Or Carlos Hyde?

San Francisco 49ers will meet the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, and we think that this will be a battle of two running backs. Ezekiel Elliot is running behind the best offensive line in football, while Hyde will try to give a boost to this below-average offense led by below-average QB.

Dez Bryant‘s availability will be a huge factor for Cowboys’ gameplan. They won’t let their rookie signal caller throw the ball a lot with his first option being either out or limited on the field. That is why Ezekiel Elliot is poised to have a big game, maybe even better than his 140-yard Week 3 performance. And he just might get into the end zone once or twice.

That depends on Jason Garrett as he is the one who will decide who gets those goal line touches. Last week it was Dumbar who ran in for a score, while in Week 2 against ‘Skins it was Morris who was given the ball as he scored that game winning Touchdown.

Carlos Hyde had an amazing Week 1 performance as he and his team ran over the Rams on their home turf. If they want to win this game, he needs to duplicate his performance from that duel. People are starting to see that Blaine Gabbert won’t win them many matches with his play and that it’s time for Kaepernick.

But, Colin is still sitting on the bench, and it’s go-time for Hyde. In recent weeks he was just subpar, and he needs to step up.

While both backs should have good outings, we are picking Elliot to have a better game. As a matter of fact, he can easily be the best RB in the NFL during Week 4. Over 100 yards running and at least 1 TD is what we expect from Elliot. And he can give you so much more than that.
