For those of you who haven’t watched it, Better Call Saul, this is a spin-off series of the popular crime drama Breaking Bad which is made in the form of the original series prequel. It revolves around the life of James Morgan “Jimmy” McGill six years before his appearance as Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad. Bob Odenkirk plays both Jimmy in Better Call Saul and Saul in Breaking Bad.

The series started airing on AMC in 2015. The last released season (Season 3) premiered in April this year, and now that it’s finished, fans began speculating about the fourth season and whether or not we should expect to see it in the near future. Since a series renewal is usually confirmed before the end of a current season, and AMC hasn’t made any official announcements yet, some people are worried that there will be no Season 4.

However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Vince Gilligan, the Better Call Saul showrunner, claims that they will, without a doubt, deliver a new batch of episodes. “Honestly, it’s obviously not a secret that Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht left Sony TV and there’s just a little bit of reorganizing going at Sony, but the ship, there’s still folks at the tiller. It’s gonna be fine”, the director explained when asked about this unusual situation.

Gilligan also added: “The timing was a bit unfortunate in that there’s a little bit of stuff up in the air over at Sony, but it’ll all get worked out. … We’re going forward with the certainty that there is gonna be more and it’s just a matter of logistics as to when, exactly, it gets going.”

All in all, according to Gilligan’s claims, we can relax and only wait to see when exactly we can expect the new season, as it is still too early to talk about the release date. As for the plot, some rumors suggest that Saul Goodman might finally make an appearance in Season 5. These are only guesses, for now, so stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated.
