Chicago Bears have pushed the reset button when it comes to their offense. Just a couple of years ago they had guys like Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery and Martellus Bennett on the offensive side of the ball. All great players in their own right. When you take a look at that lineup, you might think that it is the best team in football. But, Jay Cutler, for many people, was the problem here.

Now, he is long gone, all these receivers are gone, and the young bucks are now members of the Chicago Bears. When you have the inexperienced guys on your team, you need that veteran presence to set them straight and show them what it takes to succeed at the highest level. Victor Cruz seems just like a guy for the job, and that is why the Chicago Bears went out there and found him on the free agent market.

Cruz was a member of that New York Giants squad that has beaten the New England Patriots in Superbowl XLVI. He is the SB champion that has spent all his career with the Giants. According to him, the New York Giants made it clear that they do not want him back as they decided to part ways with their former star by cutting him in order to make some room for former Bear Brandon Marshall.

Cruz spent a lot of the time injured in the past couple of years. Many people don’t really think a lot of him now, but there is no doubt that he will be motivated to prove that he can still play at the highest level.
