Armie Hammer responds to Dwayne Johnson Shazam Rumors

Armie Hammer is a star of Lone Ranger and Dwayne The Rock Johnson thinks that he can also be a part of the upcoming Shazam movie. This actor decided to answer to The Rock and also to give his view on the rumors about him joining in the Green Lantern project.

A few months ago Dwayne Johnson was cast as Black Adam, but not even today there is no info regarding who could get the role of Shazam. The only one who gave his opinion on the subject was the former WWE superstar. The Hollywood top earner was very clear when stating that he strongly recommends Armie Hammer for this role. The idea that one of the stars from The Man From U.N.C.L.E. could be cast as a fictional superhero resonated very well with his, The Rock’s and the fans of Shazam.

Internet magazine Batman-News went trough ton of interviews with Armie Hammer when he was working on Cars 3 and brought one interesting question in which this guy responds to the news that Dwayne has singled him out for the role of Captain Marvel. He was quoted saying: “Dude, so Dwayne said that thing and literally blew up my social media. I couldn’t even open my Instagram. I thought my phone was gonna melt. But other than that no one’s said anything. Yeah… I’m keeping my options open.”

Before he was thrown into Shazam mix by his colleague Johnson, he was heavily dubbed to appear in the role of Hal Jordan in a Green Lantern Corps. Unfortunately for all of us who were hoping that he can make up for all the wrong doings by Ryan Reynolds in previous Green Lantern movie, he wasn’t actually contacted by Warner Bros.

Her’s what he had to say: “What an embarrassment of riches to have all of these choices. The funny thing is, is nobody has ever come to me an been like… My agent has never called and said, “Armie, Warner Bros, has been talking to me. There’s really interested in you. This whole thing.” Never. In fact, after… there was like a… When the Green Lantern stuff first kind of started, which I think is Geoff Johns fault, because he like followed me on Twitter or something, and everybody was like what does that mean?! So uh… how did it happen, Um, I called my agent, after it had been going on for like a week or two, it had been going on for a little bit, I called my agent, I was like, “Man, have you heard anything from like D.C. or anything?” And he was like, “No”. I was like, “nothing?” He was like, “No”. I was like, “Not one thing?”, and he was like, “No. Why?” I was like, “nothing about… Green Lantern?”, and he was like, “No, nothing”, and I was like, alright. That’s it, that’s the end of it.”
