Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) Watch to Retail at Parisian Fashion Stores?

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) appears to have taken a page of out of Parisian haute couture ways, to launch its favorite lifestyle gadget, the Apple Watch collection. According to French media, Apple Inc. is likely to showcase its premium watches at upmarket Galeries Lafayette on Champs Elysees. But, according to other sources, it is likely that Apple Inc. would begin the process of establishing exclusive Apple Watch retail stores, if a demand for such retail place emerges.

Apple Watches: Exclusive Collection

Synonymous with ‘designer’ gadgets, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is packaging its latest device as a lifestyle product that is ‘premium’ and ‘exclusive.’ Apple Watches are to be available in two sizes of 38mm, 42mm with various finishes such as stainless steel finishes in space black, space grey; aluminum finishes in silver and space gray. Besides, exclusive 18-karat gold in yellow and rose finishes as well as six band styles, in wide range of colors.

As Apple Watches, with their unique connectivity software, double-up as fashion accessories, Apple Inc. appears to be right in marketing them in the same way – the fashion industry does – in premium fashion retail outlets.

Retail SVP Angela Ahrendts Heads operations

French news media report that Apple Inc.’s recently appointed Retail Senior Vice President, Angela Ahrendts, is at Galeries Lafayette, direction the display booth.

The display units are purportedly, the length of balconies and are likely to have sales attendants. While many speculate that Apple may choose to present the collection with its typical ‘behind glass’ tables as in regular Apple Store, there would be attendants around to help them try on specific watches. Apparently, the move is considered a better security option, over dangling the premium watches on alarm systems, much like iPhones and iPads in Apple Stores.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), according to other sources, is also installing safes in stores for the higher priced Apple Watch edition, along with weight scales to measure the gold in each Apple Watch.
