Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has updated on the rollout of its latest devices – iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. It said the smartphones will be rolled out in at least 36 more countries and territories by the end of the month of October. The company targets to get the devices into 115 countries by the end of 2014. The new iPhone devices feature larger display-screens, greater power efficiency and high-speed capabilities.

The release of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus this month will concentrate in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Rollout in those regions is expected to bring the number of countries and territories selling the new iPhones to 69 by the end of this month. Apple expects to capture 115 countries in the aggressive rollout of the new iPhones by the end of this year. For Apple (AAPL), tapping 115 countries this year would make the rollout of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus the fastest ever in the history of iPhone.

Enhanced capabilities

The new iPhone devices feature enhanced capabilities such as power efficiency and blazing speeds. iPhone 6, for instance, spots 4.7-inch of Retina HD display while iPhone 6 Plus features 5.5-inch of display-screen. Both devices are equipped with a high-performance A8 chipset and 64-bit. They also boast ultrafast wireless connectivity.

Target markets

Some of the countries in which the new iPhones will launch this month include China, India, Israel and Kuwait. It is worth noting at this juncture that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) entered into a distribution deal with China Mobile. The carrier is considered the largest in the world in terms of subscriber number. It boasts about 800 million subscribers.

The new iPhone devices have already been launched in countries such as the U.S., Canada, Australia, the U.K., United Arab Emirates and France.

Suggested retail prices

In the U.S., Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) said the devices are available for a suggested retail price that starts at $199 for iPhone 6 model that features 16G memory. For the 64G and 128GB models, customers will have to part with $299 and $399, respectively, under a two-year contract. Similarly, iPhone 6 Plus under a two-year contract asks for $299 for the 16GB model. For the 64GB and 128GB models, the suggested retail price is $399 and $499, respectively.
