Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s iPhone 6 May Look Similar To Galaxy S III

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s new iPhone will be significantly different from the earlier models of the iPhone as claimed by Mac Otakara, a Japanese Blog that is focused on Apple. As per the blog, the corners of the next gen Apple device would be similar to that of Samsung Galaxy SIII.

No glass strips for iPhone 6

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s upcoming flagship will have rounded edges and a curved glass display, claims the Japanese blog. Bloomberg too had reported this earlier that the new phone will have curved glass. The iPhone 6 will have rounded corners and edges, which will be different from the current iPhone 5S, 5 and 4S. Also, the cover glass of the iPhone will be even to match the corners. The side profile of the device, which is manufactured by Japanese company Squair, is referred to as ‘Curvaceous Bumper,’ by the blog.

The current models like the iPhone 5 and 5S comes with glass strips on the back, but the new model will not have those. These strips were used to hide radios. The new device will come with an all-aluminum rear panel, which indicates that the antenna layout is being changed, according to the Japanese blog.

A recent video on YouTube gave a sneak peek into the iPhone 6 design. As per the video, the case for the iPhone 6 will be in pink color, and the power switch could be shifted to the side of the device.

Other expected features

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s next iPhone is expected to have a 64-bit A8 processor, 1GB RAM, LTPS LCD display panels, optical image stabilization, Touch ID fingerprint sensor, metal casings and NFC.The thickness of the new iPhones is said to be 6.5-7mm. The bezels around the screen would also be 10-20% narrower. Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities has informed that the 64 GB version of the new larger iPhone will have a sapphire glass. The rumors have it that the new iPhone would come in larger sizes such as 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. The new iPhone is reportedly called by suppliers as ‘iPhone Air.’

Along with the iPhone 6, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is, also, expected to launch the iOS8. The new OS is believed to come with many health and fitness tracking features, which will be integrated in the Healthbook app.
