Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s much awaited wrist-gear, which was till now under speculations has now been confirmed by an American source that this mysterious product exists in reality, and have provided details on this much awaited product. Rosenblatt Securities’ Mr. Blair, on his visit to Taiwan, obtained some information on the electronic device, which is believed to be accurate, according to Business Insider.

Separate variants for Male and Female

It is expected that two separate versions of the iWatch would be launched by the company for the two different genders. The two versions are going to have different screens; while one would come with a gorilla glass display and hence will be low priced the other will sport a sapphire crystal making it a premium device.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), the Cupertino company aims at making their devices thinnest and aesthetically appealing. So, the iWatch too will be slimmer than the existing competing wrist gear devices, as informed by Mr. Blair.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iWatch is expected to have a cannibalizing effect on iPod because this device has not been updated by the company as it should be, as per the personal hypothesis of Mr. Blair. The new device besides serving health purposes will serve many other purposes too.

Apple has huge expectations

The data related to quantity being manufactured has also been shared by the analyst, and according to him, the manufacturing will start somewhere around July to August with approximately 18-21 million units of the device being manufactured. It is expected that iWatch will be offered for sale after the launch of the iPhone 6 in September. This, also, indicates that the two devices will not be bundled together. The huge manufacturing in the first go indicates that the company has high expectations for the success of iWatch.

The exact purpose served by an iWatch is yet unknown and a lot of speculations are going around regarding it. If rumors are to be believed, the health-related biometrics will be heavily focused in iWatch, which is a logical extension to the functions available in most of the sport watches. Over the past few months, a number of health experts have been hired by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and this has led to the speculations of iWatch being a health focused device.
