I don’t think that there is anyone who can say that he/she didn’t enjoy the movie Transformers. The way to utilize vehicles, action, and robots is amazing which is partially the reason behind the franchise’s success. But this is not about the movie, no! This is about the first real transformer made by a group of Turkish engineers.

The vehicle you see here, that can turn into a robot, is called “Antimon” and it is a reality thanks to a Turkish company called Letvision. According to the company “Letrons carries the first and only of its kind specialty in the world with full performance conversion in one to one scale and excellent technical data.” It’s basically a transformer that converts from a BMW into a huge robot that has powerful arm movements and a very creepy face. According to what we found out from the company, Letrons first model and leader “Antimon” took about eight months to complete and has been built using an actual car. The Letron series is a unique and futuristic project in the time of auto industry revolutions.

In the promo video that you will see below, the car actually drives while being controlled remotely, it stops and undergoes a great transformation into a real “live” transformer. The most interesting moment is when its head pops up with that somewhat creepy face, but what adds up to the overall feel is the background music which gives viewers a close resemblance to the film, plus those hand-gestures and ejecting smoke are somewhat of a grand manifestation. According to company’s statement, “Walking functionality was not developed for ANTIMON. The walking functionality can be added if a reasonable funding is provided for a new research and development project.” Although it can’t walk it can speak, move its head, neck, arm and fingers. For a strong visual appearance, a Wi-Fi enabled LED-based dynamic eye structure, and the variable light spectrum is in the picture. Check out the video below, it will blow your mind!

The company also plans to build four other models in the Letron series called Bizmut, Argon, Wolfram and Tantal, but these will come only if the company receives adequate funding. So since the first in line was a BMW car maybe they should invest in one more, perhaps this time a BMW X5 transformer, the Bizmut?! Ha? What do you think? Comment below.

Miloš Kalajdžić
My name is Miloš Kalajdžić and I come from Brčko DC in Bosnia. I was born on July 20 th 1988 and so far I obtained a BSc in economics and one year of working experience in my field of study. I am a very hard-working person who leaves nothing unfinished and halfway done. When I commit to something I give my best to make sure that everything is done the way as it is supposed to be. I like cars and everything that comes with them. My passion are American muscle cars, but unfortunately the closest I managed to come near one is behind my laptop watching an image of the new Chevy or Dodge and writing about it. But that’s ok I’m still optimistic. When I’m not behind the laptop writing I’m on the streets and auto shows admiring all stuff rolling on four wheels being propelled by a petrol engine!
