Another Dallas Cowboys DE Suspended

Everyone has to agree that this year’s offseason was turbulent for Dallas Cowboys. Especially, if we were to compare it, with the last years. The team now waits on NFL to reach ‘a verdict’ on Ezekiel Elliott’s case.

Last Saturday we picked up on a story about Damontre Moore using illegal substances. As it turns out, this rumor was true. A day later NFL decided to suspend Damontre. We won’t be seeing him for two games because of his substance abuse mischief.

However, these kinds of controversy are nothing unusual to the team, and coach Garrett claimed that the current aim is to stay focused on improving amid this awful situation.

In the words of Garret: ‘Yeah we understood what that situation was when we signed him and like we talked the other day, he made great strides in our evaluations by our player engagement people, so we went ahead and made that signing under our conditions knowing full well that suspension was a possibility.’ He also added: ‘It’s a great opportunity for some other guys to step in there, but again we knew the situation with Damontre Moore before we signed him and he’s done an excellent job since he’s been here and it will give other guys an opportunity to show what they can do.’

Moore is now third defensive lineman of Dallas Cowboys to get suspended. He will be joining Randy Gregory and David Irving, who have been disciplined this way before.
